Blazers shutdown Bobcats to win MCAC Women’s Soccer Championship

Goals from Susanna Derksen and Camille Plett lifted Women's Soccer to their first MCAC Conference Championship win since 2009 on Sunday afternoon, but beating the two-time defending Champions and top-seeded Brandon Bobcats was no simple task.

Generally thought to be unlucky, the thirteenth season turned out to be just the opposite for Men's Soccer as CMU lifted their first MCAC Conference Championship Trophy since 2005 on a 1-0 win over Brandon University on Sunday afternoon at the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex.

What might it mean for Indigenous and Mennonite peoples in Manitoba to share the land? That's one of the key questions behind an upcoming panel discussion at Canadian Mennonite University (CMU).
The public is invited to attend the event, titled, "Whose Neighbour Am I? Treaty One and Mennonite Privilegium." The discussion will take place on Wednesday, October 10 at 7:00 PM in Marpeck Commons (2299 Grant Ave.). Admission is free, and all are welcome.

Preliminary fall enrolment at Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) reflects an overall 3% increase in CMU degree programs, bringing anticipated Full-Time Equivalent for 2018/19 to 675. Together with a steady FTE enrolment of 286 at Menno Simons College (CMU's downtown campus), total registration for CMU academic programs 2018/19 sits at over 961 FTE.
