Bachelor of Science degree at CMU: Fall 2018

Starting in Fall 2018, Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) will offer four new Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree options as part of its academic programming—General (three-year), Mathematics (three-year), Biology (four-year), and Mathematics (four-year).

The BA Mathematics degrees will remain, with no change, serving students looking for more flexible elective space. The addition of a BSc to CMU's offerings is not only a response to growing demand, but is a natural fit, given the university's mission.

CMU history professor awarded $93,000 federal grant

A Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) professor is the recipient of a prestigious federal grant.

Dr. Brian Froese, Associate Professor of History, received a five-year grant worth $93,000 through the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC). Froese will use the grant for a research project addressing the intersection of conservative religion and politics in Western Canada from the 1880s to 1960s.

Graduates receive award for scholarship, leadership, and service from CMU president

Laura Carr-Pries and April Klassen are the 2018 recipients of Canadian Mennonite University's (CMU) President's Medal Awards.

CMU President Dr. Cheryl Pauls presented the awards during CMU's 2018 Graduation Exercises on April 21. Carr-Pries and Klassen received the awards in recognition of their qualities of scholarship, leadership, and service.

CMU announces incremental increase in tuition for 2018-19

Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) has released its tuition rates for the upcoming 2018-19 academic year.

Coming into effect in September, CMU's undergraduate and graduate programs will see a tuition increase of only 1 per cent over 2017-18 rates. This very modest increase is less than the current Consumer Price Index of 1.6 per cent, and is the lowest among Manitoba post-secondary institutions.
