The Honourable Senator Murray Sinclair will present a public lecture at Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) next month.
Sinclair will give the lecture, titled "The TRC, Calls to Action and the Mountain Before Us: Stories of Hope and Challenge," in Marpeck Commons (2299 Grant Ave.) on Monday, March 5 at 7:00 PM. Admission is free. All are welcome to attend.

Growing up, Shahadat Hossain dreamt of contributing to his country's legal system. That dream became a reality, and for the past 10 years, Hossain has worked as a judge.
"In our country, most of the people are poor," said Hossain, who lives in Bogra, a major city in northeast Bangladesh. "Most of the litigant people are poor, and I wanted to do something for them—to help them, to give them justice."

The endowment for a Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) scholarship honouring a Russian Mennonite scholar whose life was cut tragically short has reached six figures.
Ted Fransen presented a cheque to CMU President Dr. Cheryl Pauls in September, bringing the endowment for the Jacob A. Rempel Memorial Scholarship to $100,000. Fransen is one of Rempel’s grandsons.

A fundraising campaign to build Marpeck Commons, the library, learning commons, and bridge at Canadian Mennonite University (CMU), has reached its goal. “It is our great pleasure and gratitude to announce that the CONNECT Campaign goal of $14.4 million has been achieved in gifts and commitments,” CMU President Dr. Cheryl Pauls said during a speech she gave on Saturday, November 25 at the university’s annual Christmas concert.

Canadian Mennonite University is inviting pastors and lay leaders to come together and think creatively about young adult ministry at a one-day conference later this month.
A Transformative Moment: Seeking God in the Transitions of Young Adulthood takes place from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM on Saturday, February 25 at CMU. The event will feature a variety of talks, a panel discussion, and keynote addresses from Gil Dueck who has expertise in the area of young adults and the church.
