When applying to CMU, I didn't really have a firm idea of what I wanted to major in. I had interests, sure, and knew that any sort of science was going to be more than I could handle. Ancient history had always been something I enjoyed (being a Percy Jackson kid), and when browsing the registration guide, I saw a few classes that I wanted to know more about. Since taking these classes, it has re-sparked a passion for the subject that has translated into a goal of a career in the museum industry. However, in my time at university there have been a few things that I wish were general info.

Workshop | Woodburning and Mixed Media with Connie Bart Hamel
Learn how to craft a masterpiece on wood with artist Connie Bart Hamel. Receive hands-on instruction for designing your very own masterpiece using pyrography (wood burning), colour pencil, and/or acrylic paint. Tickets are $30.00 plus tax. All materials will be provided for this workshop but please bring tight-fitting gloves to protect your fingers while wood-burning.
Bachelor of Education Information Session
A one-hour Zoom information session for any applicant or prospective student considering this program as an option. Topics will include curriculum design and pedagogy, course and practicum scheduling, practicum placement options, application and interview process, tuition, fees, and financial aid.
