Outtatown group stranded in Guatemala following border closures, now homeward bound

The group of 36 students, five leaders, and two staff left Guatemala aboard a repatriation flight bound for Quebec on Friday afternoon.

BREAKING: The good news is finally in! CMU has received word that the Outtatown group awaiting repatriation secured passage on an Air Transat flight leaving Guatemala on Friday afternoon, March 27, and arrived in Quebec that same night.

Practicum student captures camp life through poetry

When Nadya Langelotz decided to direct a summer camp, she thought it would require putting on hold one of her biggest passions: writing.

It was while working at the end of last semester in CMU's printing press, located in one of CMU's castle-like towers, that the fifth-year English major lamented to her friend that she wouldn't have time to write during the busy schedule of camp. When her friend suggested doing it as a practicum at camp, Langelotz doubted it would work. How could writing and camp go together?

2018 CMU Scientist in Residence | Dr. Rick Lindroth (videos)

Rick Lindroth (PhD, University of Illinois-Urbana) is a Vilas Distinguished Achievement Professor of Ecology and recent Associate Dean for Research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison (USA). His research focuses on evolutionary ecology and global change ecology in forest ecosystems. He and his students have published ~200 peer-reviewed scientific articles and book chapters. Lindroth has been a Fulbright Fellow and is a Fellow of the Ecological Society of America, the Entomological Society of America, and the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
