CMU faculty member Karen Ridd will lead this hands-on, non-lecture-based event. Participants will learn to respond thoughtfully in moments of tension and risk through actively practicing nonviolent resistance techniques, while exploring the strategy and history behind them.

Verna Wiebe, Teaching Assistant Professor of Music, worked at CMU and its predecessor college CMBC for 37 years, starting in 1988 and retiring in 2025.

Two years after a wildfire devastated Elk, Washington, ten students from Canadian Mennonite University joined Mennonite Disaster Service (MDS) to help residents rebuild their lives and homes from the ground up.
The students spent their reading week on reconstruction projects, sanding drywall, mudding walls, and listening to residents recount the sudden loss of their homes.

Mini CMU Summer Day Camps
Mini CMU is a summer day program for children ages 6–12, hosted by CMU. Through hands-on learning, creative exploration, and active play, Mini CMU offers kids a place where they feel welcomed, supported, and excited to learn.
