Nobel Peace Prize laureate to give public lecture at CMU

Dr. Emily Welty, member of the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons, which won the 2017 Nobel Peace Prize, will give a public lecture at Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) later this month as part of its annual Canadian School of Peacebuilding (CSOP).
Welty will present the lecture, titled "Imagination, Courage, and Resilience," on Wednesday, June 19 at 7:00 PM in CMU's Marpeck Commons (2299 Grant Ave.). Admission is free. All are welcome to attend.

Another academic year came to a close as Canadian Mennonite University recognized the accomplishments of 96 graduates on Saturday, April 27, 2019.
CMU President Dr. Cheryl Pauls conferred 78 undergraduate degrees, 15 master's degrees, and three undergraduate certificates at the convocation service held at Portage Avenue Church.

Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) is welcoming another faculty member to its growing science program.
Dr. Nicolas Malagon, the new Assistant Professor of Biology, will begin teaching in September 2019 for a three-year term.
