CMU launches spiritual care concentration for master's program
Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) has added a new master of arts degree to its Graduate School of Theology and Ministry (GSTM) programming. As of fall 2023, students will be able to earn a Master of Arts in Spiritual Care, in addition to the three pre-existing master's options: Master of Divinity, Master of Arts in Theological Studies, and Master of Arts in Christian Ministry.

Valerie Smith, Associate Registrar for Graduate Studies, says that "being rooted in the Anabaptist tradition, we specialize in peacebuilding and reconciliation-oriented programs, even in the ways we teach business. There is plenty of space for diversity within the programs, creating conversations that cross disciplinary boundaries. Dialogue is one of our greatest strengths."

Graduate theology student awarded CMU’s first SSHRC scholarship
A CMU student has been awarded a prestigious Canada Graduate Scholarship worth $17,500 by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada (SSHRC). This is the first year CMU has been eligible to distribute this scholarship, due to the university's successful federal research funding.
