CMU master's degree offers flexible practicality to those called to heal world injustices

On October 24, the CMU Blazers unveiled new athletic uniforms inspired by the Treaty One land that is home to CMU.
The uniforms were designed by Indigenous artist Amber Green and feature floral patterns and "Treaty One Territory," along with other words and symbols connected to the treaty.

What comes to mind when thinking about 'wellness' and 'mental health'? For many, taking care of mental health may mean booking a session with a therapist. For others, practising wellness might mean beginning a new diet or exercise routine. While, generally, these practices embody the most basic expressions of wellness, wellbeing is impacted by every facet of life. As CMU's Spiritual Life Facilitator Danielle Morton puts it, "wellness can feel like a nebulous category. What counts and does not count as wellness can look different for everyone."

Us versus them. Left versus right. One religion versus another. Who have we become? At Canadian Mennonite University's upcoming Face2Face conversation, four panelists will reflect on the polarization prevalent in our society today and how we can engage with people whose opinions are opposite from ours.
The public is invited to attend the discussion, titled, "Us and Them: How did we become so polarized?" It will take place on Monday, February 10 at 7:00 PM in Marpeck Commons (2299 Grant Ave.) and will be simultaneously livestreamed. Admission is free and all are welcome.

A clarinetist from Manitoba is the winner of the 14th annual Verna Mae Janzen Music Competition at Canadian Mennonite University (CMU).
Stephanie Wilson's performance earned her first place and the $700 prize that comes with it on Wednesday, March 20. She is the first clarinetist to ever win the competition.
