Blazers Athletics produce top-tier student athletes
The Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) Blazers Athletics program has figured it out.
Last season, in particular, was a cut above the rest. Over half the teams from a variety of sports made conference finals, the women's volleyball team made an appearance at the Canadian Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) National Championships, while the men's basketball team won gold with its first Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference (MCAC) championship since 2017.
Blazers volleyball coach inducted into the North American Indigenous Athletes Hall of Fame
Jayme Menzies, head coach of Canadian Mennonite University's (CMU) Women's Volleyball team, has been inducted into the North American Indigenous Athletes Hall of Fame.
Menzies is a decorated and celebrated individual within Manitoba sports. She is recognized for her achievements as both athlete and coach, as well as her outstanding leadership both on and off the court.

CMU announces new Director of Athletics
Cara Isaak has been appointed to Director of Athletics at Canadian Mennonite University (CMU). Isaak will work across all athletics programs and help develop and bolster the already robust athletics programming at CMU.
Isaak has spent the past seven years as a coach of CMUs women's soccer team, and, in 2018, her experience helped lead the Blazers to their first MCAC Women's Soccer Championship since 2009.

That's not the case for CMU men's basketball guard Binh Nguyen, who now finds himself playing professional basketball in the VBA in his native country of Vietnam.

CMU Blazers Kroeker, Klassen, Hofer earn CCAA Academic All-Canadian honours
It has been almost a year since the Canadian Mennonite University Blazers and the Manitoba Colleges Athletic Conference were welcomed into the CCAA and on Tuesday, Tiegan Kroeker, Jana Klassen, and Carter Hofer became the first CMU student-athletes to be officially recognized by the national conference with a major award.

Defense wins championship: Blazers men’s soccer edges undefeated Bobcats in final
Generally thought to be unlucky, the thirteenth season turned out to be just the opposite for Men's Soccer as CMU lifted their first MCAC Conference Championship Trophy since 2005 on a 1-0 win over Brandon University on Sunday afternoon at the Ralph Cantafio Soccer Complex.
