As the world faces the brazen attack on Ukraine, the learning community of Canadian Mennonite University aches for lives lost and torn apart by horrific violence. We walk alongside current CMU students from Ukraine, their families who are suffering greatly, and also our alumni living in Ukraine.

CMU joins with all who denounce Russian acts of violence against Ukraine. We stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine and all those with ties to the region. Together we seek dignity and peace within the sovereign state of Ukraine.

February 17 update: on-campus COVID-19 protocols

Given the Province of Manitoba's announcement of relaxing of public health orders in the province, here is an update on the COVID-19 related protocols in place on the CMU campus. 

1. COVID-19 Vaccination Requirement 

  • The  vaccination requirement will remain in effect until the end of the 2022 winter term. 
  • Campus access will continue to be restricted to fully vaccinated individuals and those with exemptions, until May 1, 2022.

Update on in-person learning and COVID-19 protocols for the 2022 winter term

CMU will continue in-person education on the Shaftesbury Campus starting on Monday, January 24, 2022 in a manner that cultivates and sustains high levels of safety, health, and well-being for students, staff, and faculty.

CMU has introduced increased health and safety measures for the 2022 Winter Term to make the January 24 in-person return possible. These measures will be in effect until reading week and will be re-evaluated at that time.

Cara Isaak, CMU's new Director of Athletics

CMU announces new Director of Athletics

Cara Isaak has been appointed to Director of Athletics at Canadian Mennonite University (CMU). Isaak will work across all athletics programs and help develop and bolster the already robust athletics programming at CMU.

Isaak has spent the past seven years as a coach of CMUs women's soccer team, and, in 2018, her experience helped lead the Blazers to their first MCAC Women's Soccer Championship since 2009.
