Panelists to explore the implications of legalizing marijuana at upcoming CMU discussion event

A police officer, a pastor, a rehabilitation counsellor, and a producer of medical cannabis are set to participate in a panel discussion at Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) exploring the implications of legalizing marijuana.
Titled, “Our Need for Weed? Sparking Conversations in the Church and Community,” the discussion will take place Wednesday, November 15 at 7:00 PM in Marpeck Commons (2299 Grant Ave.). Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to attend.

This month on Sunday@CMU we are broadcasting recordings from this past April’s With Gratitude event. With Gratitude is a CMU graduation weekend event at which class members share their experiences through spoken word or musical performance. It gives graduates a valuable opportunity to showcase what their studies have meant to them.
Sunday@CMU is a 15-minute radio program that features biblical meditations from current and emeritus professors, music from CMU ensembles and choirs, and interviews with faculty, staff, students, and alumni.

Although it is months away from opening, exciting things are already happening at CMU's Centre for Resilience (CFR).
James Magnus-Johnston, director of the centre, is in talks with numerous groups who are interested in being a part of the CFR, which will incubate and nurture social enterprises.
