Graduates receive award for scholarship, leadership, and service from CMU president

Laura Carr-Pries and April Klassen are the 2018 recipients of Canadian Mennonite University's (CMU) President's Medal Awards.
CMU President Dr. Cheryl Pauls presented the awards during CMU's 2018 Graduation Exercises on April 21. Carr-Pries and Klassen received the awards in recognition of their qualities of scholarship, leadership, and service.

Canadian Mennonite University (CMU) has released its tuition rates for the upcoming 2018-19 academic year.
Coming into effect in September, CMU's undergraduate and graduate programs will see a tuition increase of only 1 per cent over 2017-18 rates. This very modest increase is less than the current Consumer Price Index of 1.6 per cent, and is the lowest among Manitoba post-secondary institutions.

As MLA for Tuxedo, I have had the privilege of building many great relationships with community organizations, churches, businesses, and schools throughout my constituency.
One of the relationships I value the most is the one I have established with Canadian Mennonite University. CMU is an invaluable post-secondary institution and truly one of the crown jewels of the Tuxedo community.

Karen Ridd has been a lecturer in Conflict Resolution Studies at MSC since 2007. Karen is a mediator, facilitator, teacher and public speaker with over 25 years of experience as a conflict resolution practitioner, including work as a human rights volunteer in war zones in Central America with Peace Brigades International in the 1980s.
