Attend the groundbreaking celebration for CMU's new Library & Learning Commons and Bridge

This coming Monday, July 8, CMU President Cheryl Pauls will gather with federal, provincial and civic representatives for a groundbreaking celebration to mark the start of construction of the university's new Library & Learning Commons and Bridge.
As an alumnus, you are heartily invited to attend this event.

CMU's newest building project is a few steps closer to becoming a reality. Construction of the CMU Library & Learning Commons and Bridge is slated to begin early this summer.
We're still looking for people to get involved in making the new building happen, though.

As I begin my tenure as CMU's second president I am honoured and made bold by the reams of generous encouragement that has come my way. Most of this isn't really about me but rather gives witness to all the people who are engaged and made hopeful by what's been happening at CMU. The enthusiasm is for what's ever becoming possible through CMU the co-mingling of the particular programs, projects, faculty and students entrusted to CMU. I just happen to be the one who acts as host – point person it's usually called – between the internal workings and the external relationships that sustain and urge forward the university's mission and effectiveness.
